996 United Car Club – Participation Disclaimer

Membership in the 996 United Car Club is free. Participation in any club drive, meet, or event is entirely voluntary. The club does not provide professional driving, mechanical, or safety training or advice.

By joining any club activity, each participant agrees that they are solely responsible for their own vehicle, driving decisions, personal safety, and compliance with all applicable laws. The club does not assume responsibility for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur before, during, or after any event. Participation in any meet, drive, or event — including Drivotionals and Maple Mille — is entirely voluntary. All participants are responsible for their own actions, vehicles, insurance, and compliance with all applicable laws. Events are non-competitive, untimed, and not races. Routes and destinations are provided as suggestions only, and participants travel independently at their own discretion.

All sponsors or supporting businesses associated with the club operate independently and are not agents, representatives, or extensions of the 996 United Car Club. Their involvement does not imply liability or formal partnership.

By participating, you acknowledge that the club is a casual community of enthusiasts—not an organized racing group—and that all activities are intended to be respectful, safe, lawful, and community-minded.

Any maintenance, modification, or repair advice shared within the club—whether in person, online, or through social media—is provided strictly for entertainment and general discussion purposes. If you choose to apply any such information to your vehicle(s), you do so entirely at your own risk.

It is expected that all participating vehicles are in proper, safe, and roadworthy condition. For any Maple Mille, Driveotional, or other club events, participants are encouraged to ensure their vehicle has been inspected, maintained, and is operating safely before joining the drive. By participating, individuals acknowledge and accept all risks associated with driving, travel, weather, road conditions, and mechanical failure, and agree that 996 United Car Club and its organizers shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage.

“Maple Mille” Participation Notice
Maple Mille is an amateur, non-competitive touring drive inspired by the spirit of classic motoring events. It is not a race, rally, or timed competition. Participants drive at their own pace.

Each participant operates their vehicle independently and assumes full responsibility for their driving decisions, vehicle condition, personal safety, accommodations, and travel logistics.

Participants acknowledge that extended-distance driving over multiple days carries inherent risks, including fatigue, personal injury or death, weather changes, road hazards, and mechanical issues.

By choosing to participate, individuals agree to hold harmless 996 United Car Club and any volunteer organizers harmless from any loss, expenses, claims or damages arising from participation in the event.
